Greetings in the Wonderful name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The heat of summer is now behind us and there is a delightful coolness in the air, that is a welcome relief to many of us. As we so often do, not long from now we will be longing for the summer heat.

Mt. Olive as a church, saw the hand of God moving throughout the church and the community during the last three months. It startes when the church again studied together 'Experienceing God.' from June to Septmber, as well as preaching the series each Sunday. We witness God at work in: Vacation Bible School, where lives were changed, many professed Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior for the first time.

The apartment ministry was a great success, with many coming to Christ. A 'Five Day Club' was held there and a large number of the residences participated. We also, with God's help, were able to start a new work, a bible study in another apartment complex in the community. Keep that staff as well as the residences in your prayers.

The summer also saw God move in a way that He, and He alone could do, as a result Mt. Olive Baptist Church now are the owners of the property at 101 W. Clinton. What was 'Vision 101' is now 'Reality 101' all praises to GOD.

The Good News Bible Club is now up and running at Hamilton Elementary School. Mt. Olive is there to serve students from 1-6 grade and these kids are a joy to work with. The 'Good News Bible Club'is part for Child Evangelism Fellowship and the goal is that all that attend will come to know Christ. The children attend with the permission of their parents and sometimes the parents set throught the class with their child. Check out our ministry page to see other works.
